Barnack Parish Council Meeting

BPC has been in touch with Peterborough City Council about the general state of the village footpaths.  The weeds are due to be sprayed next month, but Amey will tidy the edges with a strimmer in the meantime. 
Potholes on Uffington Road are due to be repaired within the next week.
The Traffic Calming Working Group are liaising with Highways to implement a range of measures and are currently obtaining quotes for Vehicle Activated Signs.
A complaint has been logged with Royal Mail as a date has still not been confirmed for the installation of the new Post Box.
The response to the recent Bulk Waste Collection was very positive, with requests for another one in the Autumn.

17/00431/CLP, Land to the west of Uffington Road – Installation of a Caravan Ancillary to the agricultural use of the land. Refused.
17/00449/HHFUL, 7 Allerton Close – Construction of single storey front extension, two storey side and rear and single story rear extensions. Permitted.
17/00639/HHFUL, Everdon, Pudding Bag Lane – Side and front extension. Awaiting decision.
17/00605/HHFUL, The Bungalow – Ground floor rear extension and alterations. Permitted.
17/00718/HHFUL, 24 Orchard Road – Single storey rear extension. Permitted.
17/00850/TRE, 23 Bishops Walk - Beech Tree TPO, crown raise to 5.2m on the applicant side of the tree to all over hanging branches.  Reduce conifers back to previous points and trim. No comments.
17/00976/HHFUL, 36 Uffington Road - Installation of vehicle crossing. No objections.
17/01001/HHFUL, Laburnum, Wittering Road – Single storey rear extension. No objections.

Ufford Parish Council

The Head of Peterborough Highways Services and the Senior Highways Inspector are meeting Ufford Parish Council shortly to discuss ideas for traffic calming to help reduce speeding through the Village.  The Parish Council will also take the opportunity to flag up outstanding maintenance issues such as road-sweeping, drains and road signs.
Ufford Gala and Fun Dog Show was held on the 10th June and the Parish Council would like to say congratulations and thank you to all those who worked so hard to make the event a successful and fun afternoon.
