Barnack & Pilsgate Parish Council Aug 25

Planning
Draft Local Plan.
BPC submitted their response to PCC within the deadline date for comments.
• New or revised applications and current BPC action: one new planning application and three new tree applications – BPC had no objection to any of them. See meeting Minutes for the application details.
• Planning decisions since the April meeting of the Parish Council: three planning applications permitted (1 Sissons Close & 62 Sissons Close, 24 Main Street), one planning application permitted as lawful (54 Sissons Close) and one tree application permitted since the previous meeting.
• BPC submitted their formal objection on planning application 25/00450/FUL – The Orchard, Uffington Road.
Neighbourhood Plan.
Cllr. Palmer wanted to get views on whether a revision of the Neighbourhood Plan is worth doing. The amount of CIL money the Parish Council would receive is a key factor. Topic to be re-visited.

Community
• Communication. BPC discussed the ways in which communication can be improved, resident email lists for example. BPC fulfil the statutory requirements, posting on noticeboards, website and parish magazines but are looking into other avenues.
• BPC agreed to subscribe to the Village Tribune magazine.
• BPC are arranging for the fixing of the churchyard gates, so they fit and close.
