Life in Lockdown of a 7 year old
I used to hate school. Now I miss it. You can have fun at home, but you can’t really go out.
Everywhere is closed and this makes me feel really bad. I miss my Nana and Grandad, and their dog Toby. It is a long time since I played with Toby, they will all be missing me.
I know the Coronavirus is really bad. It is the worse thing I have seen in my life. I really want it to end.
People keep saying the Coronavirus is spreading. I want it to end forever.
Thoughts about Lockdown days by 11 year old
My family and I have been in lockdown since late March. It has been a very strange and strict experience. It has made us all come up with many questions, too many that cannot be answered.
When I wake up in the morning, I think to myself, ‘When will this be over? When will I go back to school with my friends?’. Nobody knows the answer to this yet and I’m sure that most of you think similarly to me. When this is over I will have learnt to appreciate everything more, as I didn’t know what it would have been like without all of our important needs.
We are all doing our best to keep everyone’s spirits up. Things like clapping for carers every Thursday, tea and cake outside on a very special VE day and I’m sure we have all done video calls with family and friends. Things like this can make a difference, especially to the people that need it the most.
So, go on, phone up your neighbour, play badminton over the fence, bake all kinds of yummy cakes for your family, because if somebody is feeling down, it can really make a big difference.
